Cyprus

So I went to Cyprus together with my parents and my older brother over this autumn break. It wasn't the most original trip; our days basically consisted of sunbathing (spiced with some reading), swimming and eating. Who am I kidding- they didn't basically consist of that, they exclusively consisted of that. It wasn't the most exiting holiday, but it was great to get away from cold, grey Sweden and just relax for a while! The weather was sunny the majority of the time, and we had a temperature that sometimes closed up to 30° C. Here's some pictures from my journey!

We stayed at a hotel called Capo bay, just at the beach.

This was the view from our balcony.

5 days out of 7 we ate lunch here, at the hotel's restaurant mama's.

In the evenings we tried a variety of restaurants, this is at a Japanese restaurant which we visited twice.

We also visited this charming tavern. The place was a bit shabby and the waiter wore plastic slippers, but the feeling and authenticity of Nicolas was unbeatable and the food was delicious and prepared in a real stone oven!

To finish off, here's a picture at the boardwalk when the moon shone very bright!

The Riviera and Corsica

So this summer I went on a very nice trip with my oldest friend, Mr. Axel Kvistad, to France for two weeks. We started out by meeting in the airport outside the Riviera town of Nice. He had arrived two hours earlier from Trondheim, and I arrived from my previous holiday in the Isle of Wight. A golfing holiday, but that is a story for another time :)

When having met we drove in the rented cars, well I didn't really drive, his dad did. Anyway, when we had gone a little out of the town to the beautiful rural town of Feyance we arrived at our first house. It was a gorgeous house complete with patio and pool.

Feyance

During our week in Feyance we made several excursions. We visited two water parks, both being pretty awesome. We had a great laugh on how terrible the french were at going down slides. We also went to a fantastic gorge. The scenery there was spectacular.

The best excursion of the week was without doubt the canyoning. For those of you who do not know what canyoning is I will explain. Canyoning is a terrible fun activity which point is to travel down a gorge with a quickly running stream. Basically it is like mountain climbing but in a, what we swedes call "en fors". It is quite tough but very fun.

At the end of the week in Feyance we celebrated by going to the best restaurant in town, La France. I have probably mixed up La and Le, but never mind. The point is that the food was delicious. When we got home we took a glass of some excellent champagne and some horse dours. What ever that is.

The next day we spent on the ferry to Corsica. When we arrived at the second house we were utterly bewildered. It was the perfect place. It was situated on a small cliff overlooking the Mediterranean. At the end of the cliff there was an infinity pool which ran out into the sea, by a little waterfall. But I must not forget the y next to it! There was, on a small rise, a deck/balcony that was shaped like the front of a boat, giving those that stood there the feeling they were on a ship. Just next to the deck there was a small path which led down to the ocean. Sprawled over the lawn were two other patios, one for dinner and one with shade for lunch. It was amazing.

First picture is of the sea next to the house. Second picture is the infinity pool. Lastly is a picture of me and Axel on the deck. Next is a picture of the lunch patio:

During the stay in Corsica we did not have many excursions, we mostly chilled by the pool and ate fantastic food, since Axel's father is some kind of super chef/radiologist. The one excursion we did do was when we hiked up one of the mountains in Corsica. This was quite fun while it lasted, the only problem was that it was 40° C, and that is very much when you are hiking in the mountains. Here are some pictures :)

This is Teo, he is the cutest dog in the world. Final. He is also the most tolerable, I would like to see anyone of you running around like that in 40° with that fur :D

We were lucky enough to find this though, after 1 hour of walking :P

That is it for this entry. The rest of the week in Corsica was spent with great food and friends. Talking about literally everything intellectual and otherwise, but mostly intellectual stuff haha. I am going to en with another photo I took of the cutest dog in the world, just because it is Teo.

My ''unforgetable'' trip to Spain

Hi everybody.
As you might know my name is Amin :) and I am a 19 years old student at Rudbecksskolan in Örebro, Sweden.
I like football, writing and in some occasions reading.
In this post I would like to confess about my beautiful and unforgetable trip to Spain last Summer.
Me, and punch of my friends, decided to go on a trip to this tropical and magnificent country. It is the place to travel to (if oyu want to forget about the swedish snow ofcourse).

One of the things that i loved about this counrty was THE COFFEE. Most of my stops were at cafés to taste and enjoy their indescribable spanish coffees.
Different places, but the same unimaginable taste of coffee.

And here I also visited a couple of restaurants, unfortunatly, I only took one picture of me in it.

An arabian resaurant, Cosy music, and good food they had :D

Well, all my turisting was not about going around cafés and restaurants, I also visited some historical places, such as Alhambra palace and fortress. (Which means in arabic, ''the red one'').
There we see it on the top of that hill. Yey.
And Yap, we went all the way up. ;)
This is how it looked like from the inside. Beautiful Ain't?!

That day was one of my best days in my life. Getting this close to such a historical place and going through its gardens.

As some of my beloved teachers use to say: ''Time goes by when you have fun!''
And i certainlly did.
Until the Next travel post, Stay tuned,
